Gather data and perform analysis to help Unity understand the market opportunity and design/develop new products. Help the team determine a product’s feature set, value proposition, positioning, target market, pricing, and differentiating features relative to other products on the market to inform go to market strategies. Act as the voice of the customer and assist in the development, design, distribution and analysis of customer and industry surveys. This role is key in that it requires strong interaction and collaboration with the content, marketing, and innovation teams and may require both leading initiatives and supporting those led by peers.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Identify fresh opportunities for innovation and enhancements in existing products and participate in the agile development process and contribute to the priority of new product development and product enhancements
2. Manage product roadmap, including establishing timescales for development of new products
3. Conduct internal and external research and perform data analysis to deliver insights into customer use of current products, define customer needs, and identify untapped opportunities
4. Lead customer engagement efforts – including surveys, interviews, and focus groups – with goal of capturing customer interest and needs, product attractiveness / feasibility and testimonials
5. Complete market and competitive research to evaluate competitiveness and forecast product revenues and ROI
6. Work with marketing team to project manage new product launches, using market insights to inform product positioning and pricing
7. Aid in development of thought leadership assets and support content marketing initiatives to increase product awareness
8. Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures per the guidebook including all safety requirements including all safety guidelines.
9. Utilize electronic time management system to input time, attendance and paid off request


Education:
Bachelor’s degree emphasizing marketing, product development or the like.

Computer Skills:
Proficient user of all Microsoft Office programs, MAC

Experience:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field
2. 3+ years experience with market research, competitive analysis and customer interviews
3. Experience in product management preferred
4. Demonstrated ability to evaluate target audience to best forecast opportunity.
5. Communicates effectively with all levels of employees, both technical and non-technical
6. Strong analytical skills with ability to articulate value propositions, reasons for analysis conclusions, etc. to key executives
7. Ability to exercise sound judgment and be able to plan, be well organized, timely, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
