Title Cook

The Cook is responsible for completing daily production plan under the management of the Kitchen Supervisor or Lead Cook by producing high quality, chef crafted food.

The Cook will:

  • Establish a culture of respect, hard work, consistency and effective communication with all team members and management.
  • Execute production tasks as assigned by their supervisor in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Execute recipes by following the step by step instructions from start to finish.
  • Record cooked and finished yields for each recipe batch.
  • Take and record recipe batch temperatures using the “Time and Temperature Log” during cooking and cooling
  • Label and date all WIPs product heading into the walk-in with the name of the product, date of production and # of lbs in the given container.
  • Support a clean and organized walk-in and pantry at all times.
  • Practice FIFO at all times when pulling or returning ingredients to the walk-in or pantry.
  • Maintains consistency in food quality standards across multiple batches of the same recipe.
  • Ensures food quality standards by tasting production recipes, batch to batch and in finished products.
  • Have the ability to operate and clean commercial cooking equipment (i.e. tilt skillets, steam kettles, rack ovens, mixers, blenders and food processors).
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance on all cooking equipment through the proper operation and cleaning of the equipment and advises management when repairs are needed.
  • Practice “safety First” with co-workers by maintaining a clean, organized, hazardous free work environment.
  • Maintain a food safe environment, complying with Revolution Foods food safety policies.
  • Immediately and effectively communicates with management any issues or concerns that may affect food safety or quality.
  • Ability to successfully and safely complete assigned production tasks in a fast pace commercial kitchen.
  • Abides by “green” waste, compost and recycling program.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.



Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintains consistency in food quality standards.
  • Follows recipes carefully and completed production goals by the end of their shift. Cleans area as you work.
  • Completes and follows prep list in a timely manner.
  • Assists in monthly inventory Uses preventive maintenance on all kitchen equipment.
  • Complies with all state Heath and safety codes and maintains a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen area.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned, and follows through on requests in a timely manner.


  • 2-3 years cooking experience.
  • Able to physically perform requirements of job.
  • Practices safe and proper knife and kitchen utensil skills.
  • Works well with others and participates as part of a team.
