Sr Director Sales & Marketing Foodservice Channel

The Sr Director Sales & Marketing Foodservice Channel will be responsible for directing, developing, and executing the business goals associated with this product strategy for Revolution Foods.  This leader will manage the sales organization dedicated to these channels as well as the innovation, product production and marketing programs developed in support of growth goals. 

Primary Responsibilities

In your role as a Sr Director Sales & Marketing Foodservice Channel at Revolution Foods you will be part of our success by:

  • Develop and direct the sales and marketing programs within targeted channels like K-12, university and retail.
  • Represent, protect and grow the Brand across targeted channels and beyond.
  • Direct the development and execution of strategies to launch this business line and attract new customers.
  • Direct and develop the tools and materials the sales organization needs to achieve business objectives including Salesforce CRM platform.
  • Direct and develop annual marketing plans to meet growth objectives activity and direct alternative strategy appropriately.
  • Own and monitor sales volumes, trends and competitive set.
  • Develop and direct key business metrics to manage against revenue and profitability targets.
  • Initiating the strategic/conceptual positioning of Revolution Foods as thought leaders in the industry, through sales programs based on consumer insights
  • Coordinate product management projects with internal and external resources (product development, production planning, logistics, trade, sales, market research, consultants).
  • Participate in visits to key strategic accounts.
  • Facilitate distribution relationships for acquired business/customers.
  • In partnership with executive leadership, develop annual growth targets.
  • Achieve annual growth and profit objectives.
  • Own channel by channel P&L’s for broad-line distributed products under the Revolution Foods brand and understand the key profitability levers.
  • Create and Maintain an environment of partnership and collaboration with distributors to achieve business goals
  • Proactively build strong, collaborative relationships with other members of the Sales team, Brand, Operations, Finance, Accounting and all other groups.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated successful sales history negotiating with distributor customers and meeting trade spend budget.
  • Possess strong understanding of trade spend and promotional strategy.
  • Experience running business at a local and national account level.
  • Demonstrated successful work history managing a product line and brand across multiple food service channels.
  • Be results oriented, able to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner, and the ability to juggle priorities.
  • Have the ability to excel in a fast paced, high growth environment with an attitude focused on what’s possible.

Education/Training Required

  • Embodies and thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.  This position will run this business line from the first floor for Revolution Foods.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience
  • Minimum of 7 years outside sales and/or category management experience (Food Service, Food Service Manufacturing or Distributor Sales)
  • Category Management experience within the K-12, University and retail sectors.
  • Consistently demonstrated years of supervisory/managerial experience
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office suite, syndicated, POS and loyalty data

Details

  • Travel for this role is approximately 60-70%.
  • Revolution Foods Home Office is located in Oakland, California, though reporting to the home office is not required for this role.
