The Quality Control Associate is a Food Production team member responsible for ensuring “on the floor” implementation and compliance with Quality protocols. This includes product quality, assembly, presentation and packaging during production, at critical control points and during receiving. Demonstrates a good knowledge of raw material food product quality characteristics, and presentation of food products prepared and packaged by Revolution Foods. Raises a variety of concerns to Production Management or the QA department when quality, date codes, presentation or packaging may be at issue. May lead a line, completes paperwork to document product runs and compliance. Mentors new Associates, repeat instructions and assist in other departments, as needed. Routinely verifies raw materials, food javascript:void(0);products, presentation, packaging and critical control points (CCP’s) for quality adherence. Spot checks items and product runs to ensure the highest quality products and presentation are delivered to the Revolution Foods customer. May help support production quality routines related to traceability, environmental monitoring, temperature checks, lot numbers, date code verification, etc. Follows and enforces GMP’s.

•Routinely verifies raw materials, food products, presentation and packaging to meet company quality standards and specifications.

•Documents compliance with Food Safety standards, sanitation, company policies and procedures, SQF, HACCP, and other regulatory requirements.

•May segregate products pending approval or release from management or a QA team member.

•May inspect incoming food products or outgoing loads to ensure products meet company standards.

•Ensures the cold chain is maintained between warehousing and production when products are moved within the facility.

•Works on the production line as needed to prepare and assemble a variety of products and meals according to the daily plan. •Uses training and experience to work with a higher level of independence. May act in a line lead capacity, set the pace, rotate the team members on a line, documents product and process information.

•Needs minimal instruction from Team Leader or Supervisors'. Follows approved procedures and standard protocols while maintaining high consistency in food quality standards. Demonstrates a good understanding of cross contamination, allergen controls and safe ways of working.

•Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and all state health and safety codes and maintains a high standard of cleanliness in all areas.

•Responsible for working safely, lifting items properly, wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and notifying management of employees that may need to be reminded of proper ways of working. Safely uses all utensils, knives and equipment.

•Complies with all state of California Health and Safety codes.
