Title Controller

Description The Controller will take responsibility for driving excellence in the Accounting organization. We are looking for a individual who can take our emerging organization to the next level with their knowledge of industry best practices. The Controller position requires building and managing the appropriate team and process to support a fast-growing world-class organization. This position reports to the CFO and has a leadership role within the Accounting & Finance organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all general accounting and control activities, including accounts payable, payroll, G/L accounting, month-end close, cost and inventory accounting
  • Document, implement and monitor best in class operating procedures and controls
  • Work with accounting team to ensure daily, weekly and monthly reporting/account reconciliation is accurate and timely
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial data, in accordance with GAAP, to the CFO, Executive Management, and Board of Directors
  • Create and manage the appropriate P&L and business views and reports that match the needs of the business through cost accounting and/or allocations and produce management reporting
  • Manage external audit and tax compliance
  • Drive Company’s financial reputation, consistent with Revolution Foods’ core values
  • Ensure appropriate levels of confidentiality within the organization and exhibit the highest degree of personal and professional integrity
  • Keep abreast of emerging accounting and finance trends
  • Set goals, objectives and priorities; assign and review work of staff
  • Coach and develop staff; planning, monitoring, and appraising performance
  • Interface with other departments on special projects, as needed
  • Perform other duties as required

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • CPA required
  • Previous experience in leading a company through a financial audit required
  • IPO experience preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive Accounting experience
  • 4+ years of experience in an Accounting Management role
  • E-commerce or retail experience preferred, as well as extensive inventory and product development accounting experience
  • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and develop positive cross-functional working relationships
  • A strong leadership aptitude; ability to mentor talent and foster career development
  • Excellent project management, organizational and communication skills, with the ability to address both technical and non-technical audience
