Position Summary

The Payroll Clerk assists with the processing of the bi-weekly payroll and the day to day administration and maintenance of the HRIS system (Ultimate Software/UltiPro).

Requirements

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain data into HRIS for hires, changes and terminations.
  • Process manual checks as needed.
  • Process and file all paperwork securely.
  • Order background checks and communicate submission.
  • Liaison between the external markets and Home Office Team.
  • Review bi-weekly payroll entries, enter corrections, review missed punches, etc.
  • Process and transmit payroll bi-weekly, process mid-cycle payroll adjustments, and final paychecks as directed.
  • Process garnishments.
  • Maintain employee files.
  • Perform other clerical duties and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 – 2 years payroll/clerical experience.
  • Must have a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of payroll/employee information.
  • Must understand the importance of timeliness of payroll process and accuracy of work.
