Title Employee Relations & Trainng Specialist

Gathers data from our HR team to monitor proactive employee relations. Effectively administers personnel and employee relations in accordance with company policies and procedures, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements including EEO, FMLA / CFRA and other leave requirements, and ADAAA to ensure consistent and equitable treatment of employees. This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with our HR team, Market Managers, and employees to advise, coach, train, recommend actions and next steps, report and drive compliance.

Major Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Work with HR Business Partners and Operations Leadership Team to build effective employee relations strategies such as coaching, performance, corrective actions, discipline, terminations, documentation / case summaries, ways of working, legislative requirements, company processes and procedure compliance.
  • Ensure consistency in making termination decisions and timely processing of final pay obligations in multi-state, multi-operation environments. Considers the impact of legislated compliance with EEO practices, ADAAA, Federal, State and local laws and policy.
  • Tracks and delivers a variety of training sessions such as: discrimination laws, harassment, bullying, conflict management, disciplinary actions and other Employee Relations related training. May support delivery of other employee training from front line employee to manager level.
  • Ensures a compliance focus of personnel actions to create consistency and reduce risk. Demonstrates skill at diffusing conflict and escalates matters gaining momentum to agree to next steps for action.
  • Leverage existing technologies to analyze trending data, compliance, org structure.
  • Gathers and reports accurate data to include but not limited to; employee life-cycle, KPI’s, turnover, leave actions, promotions, project updates and other misc. topics that impact the business and efficiencies of operations.
  • Monitor the termination HRIS/ Payroll approval process within system compliance guidelines.
  • Create insights from data to inform on process improvements, and share finding with key partners and stakeholders to plan(s) that link to the HR strategy and strategic plan.
  • Prepares case files, reference materials, conducts investigations, interviews employees and obtains statements. Identify and recommend pro-active steps to avoid recurring issues.
  • Advises on the administration of specific employment laws including federal and state labor laws and upcoming changes that may impact company policy or procedures.
  • Promote brand culture, company mission and vision in support of working at Revolution Foods. Promotes continuous improvement methodology, while building cohesive employee-employer relationships.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of common training techniques, employee engagement, organized delivery, and how to maintain control and timeliness of delivery.
  • Related Bachelor’s degree or four+ years’ commensurate experience in a HR Specialist role
  • 2+ years in a position responsible for conducting employee investigations
  • 3 years of progressively responsible HR experience in a food factory, food or beverage manufacturing, school or similar work environment.
  • Prior experience working in a startup environment is preferred
  • Multi-unit experience required. Multi-state experience is helpful
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, preparing presentations and using excel for reporting

Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

  • The ability to travel approx. 30% of the time is required.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good business acumen
  • Resourceful, creative, analytical and problem-solving skills. Sound judgement and integrity are a must.
  • Ability to multi-task and exercise sound judgement
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
