Description Responsible for delivering successful SQF audits nationally across Revolution Foods markets and distribution centers. Completes gap analysis against the standards at each site in conjunction with the sites Quality Assurance Manager. Ensure maximum food safety and sanitation standards in full compliance of legislative, company standards, and specifications. Responsible to develop, monitor and maintain Quality Assurance systems and programs to assure product integrity and compliance with SQF, GMP's, HAACP, company regulatory and customer standards. Promotes healthy, clean processing standards, documentation, training and employee development.

Applies knowledge of fresh food quality, systems, processing, controls, packaging and labeling to ensure full compliance in a chilled fresh food environment. Develops good relations with regulatory representatives, and responds to needs for technical information and documentation. Provides training and motivation to team members, using recognition, and positive feedback. Gives direction based upon the daily production plan, raw material specs, recipes, and assembly requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring that all sites are in readiness for SQF certification through gap analysis against the standard, helping close the gaps found and up skilling site / QA Management so that the audit is passed with the absolute minimum of non-conformances.
- Works with individual sites so that any non-conformances found are responded to and closed out in a timely manner and that they do not reoccur.
- Responsible for ensuring that all sites operate to the highest level of food safety standards. Bring the company's values and management principles alive.
- Works in collaboration with the operating management team to ensure best in class performance.
- Responsible for monitoring all sites QA KPI’s to ensure that they are being completed and inputted in a timely manner and that any adverse trends are being addressed.
- Acts as a guide and mentor to site management in all matters relating to QA: HACCP, Policies, Procedures, Process Control Documents, KPI’s, Sanitation, Preoperational Inspection, Customer Complaints, Supplier Approval, Product launches.
- Forges close relationships with all relevant regulatory bodies.
- Conducts annual food safety audits at each site and working with that site for their satisfactory close out.
Requirements Required Experience and Education:
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience actively managing a fresh food Quality Assurance program in a fast-paced food production environment.
• Advanced education or related degree in Food Science, food related technology, safety or management is preferred.
• Certification and training in HACCP, Food Handling/ ServSafe, CCP’s required.
• Experience working with regulatory agency representatives such as USDA, FDA, SQF and BRC certification requirements is required.
• Trained in FSMA requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
• Extensive and prolonged travel 50%-70% of the time may be necessary, as would be expected of a multi-site national company.
• Able to work a flexible schedule and weekend work when necessary.
• Able to problem-solve, while working under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to motivate and develop team members.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Critical Thinking - Demonstrated ability to determine root cause findings, take corrective actions, and problem-solving skills.
• A self-starter who is able to accomplish the work and meet targets thru others
• Ability to work in a cold/ damp environment and stand for extended periods
• Intermediate computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
