Position Summary:

Responsible for handling customer inquiries, the sale and distribution of event tickets, must be available to work home KU sporting events, and other tasks around the office as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities of all Positions at Kansas Athletics:

1. Adhere to University, Kansas Athletics, Big 12 Conference, and NCAA policies and procedures.

2. Maintain a working knowledge of operations within the ticket office as well as within the entire athletic department, including events, prices, times, and policies and procedures

3. Foster cooperative relationships with fellow staff members within the department. Be able to work in groups on detail heavy projects.

4. Support the athletic department goals and philosophies as described by the Director of Athletics and work to achieve and uphold the department’s mission statement and core values.

5. Maintain a positive attitude toward performing job duties, working with the public and with other staff members.

6. Exhibit professional decorum at all times while representing Kansas Athletics.

Duties and Responsibilities of this Position:

1. Front line of communication with donors, ticket holders, and the general public on all Kansas Athletics related ticket issues and other inquiries.

2. Work in conjunction with other student employees and full time staff to answer all incoming telephone calls to the Kansas Athletics Ticket Office which is open 9 AM – 5 PM Monday – Friday.

3. Assist with data entry in the Paciolan Ticketing System.

4. Process all incoming ticket orders for Kansas Athletics.

5. Work scheduled home sporting events.

6. Perform miscellaneous projects and tasks as assigned by the Assistant Director of Ticket Operations.
Requirements Required:
* Must be a current KU student.
* Must be able to work 15-25 hours per week. This includes scheduled office hours (the office is open Monday – Friday 9am-5pm), and events during the evening and weekends as assigned. This includes all holidays and school vacations.
* Must commit to be available to work all KU home football and men’s basketball games.
* Previous customer service experience.
* Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
* Ability to effectively communicate with and assist customers both in person and on the telephone.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and interactive setting.
* Have an above average working knowledge of basic computer programs including Microsoft Office.
* Basic knowledge of math.
* Skilled in handling cash transactions.
* Must be able to pass a criminal and employment history background check prior to employment.


This position is primarily a customer service position with a focus on problem solving and ticket sales. The applicant must possess good communications skills, ability to multitask on several different projects at once and be able to thrive in a fast paced team environment.
