Description Doble Engineering is looking for a dynamic, go-getter to join the Engineering team, leading the hardware group. This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to get to that next level, and be involved in developing cutting edge products for the power industry. This position will leverage your skills for integrating hardware solutions into complex embedded real-time systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leading teams in delivering complex products and solving technical problems. This position will report to the VP of Engineering.

Please note: this position is presently located in Watertown, MA but will be relocating to Marlborough, MA in the fall of 2019. All applicants must have reliable transportation to both locations. The Marlborough office will not be accessible via public transit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the VP of Engineering to continue to evolve best practices and methodologies
• Lead a team of multi-disciplined engineers in the development of complex real-time embedded systems
• Create engineering schedules, resource loading and monitor project tracking
• Assign tasks and monitor daily work progress
• Monitor development processes, lead and document engineering reviews
• Lead the team in root cause analysis and resolution of design problems in current products
• Drive continuous improvement in system development by tracking quarterly KPI’s
• Work with the system architects and product managers to develop product plans and roadmaps
• Continuously assess the technology landscape as it pertains to Doble products and solutions
• Provide mentoring and guide development of junior engineers
• Perform performance reviews and provide feedback on goals

Qualifications:
• BS in Electrical Engineering required, Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering desired but not required.
• 10+ years of experience developing new hardware products and 5+ years managing people
• Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers and FPGA’s
• Experience with module design flow from schematic capture through layout
• Proven record of delivering projects on time with high quality
• Experience leading teams in complex problem resolution
• Track record of introducing products to manufacturing with DFT and diagnostics
• Familiarity with safety and EMC testing is desirable
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to express ideas concisely and clearly cross-functionally and at all levels within the company

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to sit, use computers, read, write, type, use fax machines, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients and co-workers.
