This job exists to: To provide support for the operations of the pharmacy through filling orders, maintaining inventory and equipment, and supervision of Pharmacy Technicians.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides for the educational needs of healthcare professionals and patients and their families.
• Ensures strict control and accountability for drugs dispensed to patients or distributed to floor stock.
• Ensures compliance with clinic policies and procedures that apply to pharmacy services.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws, rules and regulations.
• Assures adequate control and documentation of controlled substances.
• Maintains strict confidentiality of patients, guests and employee information.
• Fill prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Proficient with the use of My Clinica Connection.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintains a safe work environment by remaining informed of and compliant with the clinic’s safety policies, and in particular by application of safe practices in area of own responsibility.
• Compliance:
o Knowledgeable of and compliant with laws and regulations governing area of responsibility.
o Responsible for reporting any potentially non-compliant conduct.
o Cooperates fully with our Compliance Officer in upholding our Compliance Plan
• Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

SUPERVISION: Clinical supervision of pharmacy technicians.

SCOPE OF AUTHORITY:
This position is expected to perform responsibilities with general managerial direction. For immediate problems, the position is responsible for independent problem solving and must have the ability to work with minimal supervision. Progress is reviewed quarterly and results are measured and formally evaluated annually.
Requirements POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education / Experience
Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree.
Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in state of Colorado

B. Knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Maintains current pharmacist license. Ensures applicable CE records and licensure are maintained in department files. Attends management meetings. Sustains professional competency and promotes development through participation in in-services, workshops, seminars and professional organizations.
• Provides courteous, cooperative and timely service to patients, visitors and staff. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication.
• Communicates fluently verbally and written in English
• Fluent in Spanish preferred.
• Good typing and computer skills.
• Detail oriented with good problem solving skills.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Able to prioritize tasks and demonstrate time management skills.

• All Clinica employees, managers and leadership
• Patients
• Outside contacts such as community, other healthcare providers

• Medical supplies and equipment

WORKING ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
• No risk of blood borne pathogens.
• Usual office environment with sitting, walking, standing, stooping.
• Ability to travel from clinic to clinic in own vehicle as required.
