Title Program Manager, Faculty-Led and Custom
Business Unit Faculty-Led & Custom Programs
Location Boston, MA or Portland, ME
Description Join a passionate and growing team that is innovating and developing new ways to assist higher education institutions in providing their students with impactful and unique international experiences. This role works directly with faculty and study abroad administrators at US institutions on every aspect of the program: sales, design, operations, pricing, and delivery of Faculty- Led and Custom Programs to ensure that the needs of institutions, CIEE staff and the programs are met. Based upon the sales territory, the role is responsible for meeting and exceeding annual sales goals for Faculty-Led and Custom Programs and enrollment with the goal of providing the highest quality student experiences for U.S. colleges and universities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Meet aggressive sales goals for program and participant numbers
• Maintain close contact with clients during entire sales process to win each bid
• Sales outreach to secure new program leads and new institutional partnerships
• Maintain tracking systems and reports for all inquiries and requests
• Conduct strategic campus visits to key schools to promote CIEE unique value proposition, cultivate new program sale opportunities and support existing programs
• Attend industry conferences (NAFSA, Forum, CIEE…) to sell and promote CIEE and CIEE’s Faculty-Led and Custom Programs\
• Collaborate with intercultural education training team to provide services to key institutions and their faculty as well as engage new leads
• Collaborate with IR team on existing Institutional Relations strategies and cultivation new institutional clients
• Other duties as assigned

• Oversee creation of program proposals and manage the creation of each program budget
• Collaborate with the Program Administrator with the creation of forms and documents for vetting and proposing custom programs
• Collaborate with the Program Administrator in the creation of location-specific menus of program services and costs, proposals and itineraries
• Assist with special projects and other tasks as necessary to ensure smooth operation of Custom Programs
• Execute internal processes for FAC programs in collaboration with Finance, Billing, Enrollment, and other teams.
• Facilitate requirements gather and information sharing between institutions and resident staff
• Assist Program Administrator with the creation of training materials and manuals for resident staff
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree required
• Sales experience strongly preferred—including active listening and solutions selling
• 3-5 years of professional work experience required
• Exceptional attention to detail required
• Superior organizational and time management skills required
• Superior customer service skills required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Ability to work collaboratively required
• Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility required
• Ability to multi-task to meet very tight deadlines required
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
• Ability to learn new processes quickly and take initiative required
• Ability to do and desire for domestic and international travel 20-25% required
• Experience working with faculty or within higher education strongly preferred
• Budget creation experience preferred
• Study abroad experience preferred
• Higher Education experience preferred
