Summary of Position:

The Financial Analyst will provide support to Financial Planning Managers, coordinating and consolidating monthly business unit forecasts and annual budgets, related reporting and analysis, refining investment models to support business decisions, and supporting administration and management of Adaptive Planning system.

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting/Budgeting – Prepare and manage models to be used by business units for forecast and budgets. Consolidate and analyze monthly financial forecasts, understanding drivers of change.
  • Work with business partners to demonstrate how to approach forecast and plan deliverables and also provide assistance with general accounting inquiries related to invoice coding and re-class journal entries.
  • Ability to forge business relationships to support business managers.
  • Identify opportunities and drive/support implementation of changes to increase revenues and reduce costs.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses to influence decision making.
  • Adaptive Planning System – Develop high level proficiency with the system in order to provide user training, utilize reporting and administrative tools.

Candidate Instructions

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or equivalent discipline required.  MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Finance role; financial planning experience a plus.  Service industry experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of excel.
  • Experience with planning and forecasting software.  Experience with Netsuite ERP and/or Adaptive Planning budget and forecasting tools a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, along with superior attention to detail.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, with a high sense of urgency.
  • A high level of independent judgment and initiative.
  • Ability to extract data from financial systems and manipulate in offline environments.
