Summary of Position:

The Corporate Controller will plan, direct and coordinate all accounting and tax functions for the organization, and will be the chief accounting and tax officer, reporting to the Vice President of Finance.  The role will have responsibility for internal control, the accuracy, timeliness and quality of the audited financial statements, and compliance with financial-related regulatory requirements including tax compliance across all jurisdictions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establish and execute internal controls over the company’s accounting processes and financial reporting
  • Direct all accounting operations
  • Establish and maintain the organizations’ accounting policies, practices, and procedures and enforce compliance
  • Hire, train, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
  • Oversee all regulatory and compliance financial reporting
  • Oversee monthly close, year-end audit, and consolidation of global financials
  • Assess current accounting operations, systems and internal controls, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes and systems
  • Oversee completion of all tax reporting and compliance
  • Review and validate intercompany costs and other accounting impacts driven by global  operations, shared cost centers and cross company transactions
  • Oversee work with independent auditors to ensure effective coordination and timely completion of audits
  • Responsible for the integrity of financials and accounting systems
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting , Master’s degree preferred
  • CPA ted experienceols,processations, and offer recommendations for improvementrequired
  • A minimum of 10 years of related and progressively responsible experience with at least 5 years staff management experience
  • Experience in a complex, multinational organization
  • Public accounting experience at the manager level
  • Tax reporting and compliance experience
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent organization skills

 

Work Environment:

  • Travel
    • Will need to travel periodically to international offices.  Typically no more than two international trips per year.
  • Physical Demands:
    • Lifting: 0-25 lbs
    • Frequency of lifting: infrequent
  • Additional Physical Demands
    • Ability to speak and listen on a telephone
    • Ability to type, and view a computer screen
    • Ability to bend and sort paperwork in a filing cabinet.
  • Visual, Hearing, Dexterity & Mental Demands
    • Adequate to perform the essential functions of the job such as using a telephone, answering emails, filing paperwork, viewing a computer screen, and operating office equipment.
