Title High School Study Abroad Sales Representative
Business Unit High School Summer Abroad Programs
Location Dallas Metroplex, Texas

If you enjoy building relationships with High School principals, teachers, counselors, and other school staff, as well as with students and parents then we encourage you to apply for this job. You will be the lead contact to build and keep excitement at schools as students prepare to travel. We are looking for current residents in the Dallas Metroplex. Sales experience and solid customer service focus a must.

CIEE is a not-for-profit international exchange organization that was established in 1947. CIEE’s High School Abroad team provides international experiences in the form of short-term summer programs, Gap programs, and semester or year-abroad for US high school students. Programs are designed to enable students to experience another country and culture first-hand. CIEE is seeking a qualified professional with excellent time management skills, confidence, and flexibility to serve as the High School Study Abroad Sales Representative. The High School Study Abroad Sales Representative is responsible for selling High School Abroad experiences in a way that aligns with CIEE’s mission and values.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Sell CIEE’s High School Summer Abroad programs to prospective schools and families
• Manage relationships with secondary educational institutions
• Foster ongoing relationships with principals, teachers, counselors, and district administrators to keep CIEE top-of-mind
• Approach schools within region to make visits and presentations
• Prospect and cold call to collect relevant information about student and institutions educational needs
• Establish new relationships that encourage study abroad to be a standard part of secondary curriculum
• Educate institutions about High School study abroad opportunities
• Coordinate presentations and events for local stakeholders
• Presenting and answering questions for groups of students and parents
• Promote CIEE at regional and national educational conferences and tradeshows
• Create strategic territory and account management plans
• Create and follow through on call plans
• Provide consultation to students and their families on study abroad goals
• Obtain commitments from students and parents by presenting a tailored study abroad solution to meet each student’s unique need
• Work with an assigned Sales Coordinator to ensure a smooth transition for students from application to departure
• Be the lead contact to build and keep excitement at schools as students prepare to travel
• Maintain an accurate and complete sales database
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements • Bachelor's degree required
• 2 – 4 years of sales experience required, educational sales preferred
• International travel and/or work experience
• Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to present to large groups
• Energetic, personable, goal and team oriented
• Tolerance for ambiguity in a fast-moving market
• A passion for creating opportunities for our students

This role involves extensive travel within territory and has the potential for limited international travel.
